The sunglasses worn by Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) officer Justina Agyapong during a reported confrontation have been identified as Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which are capable of recording video and audio from the wearer’s point of view.
The smart glasses could potentially provide recordings of the confrontation between the officer and the Member of Pariament for Manhyia South, Nana Adjei Baffour Awuah including interactions and statements made during the incident, which may be relevant if authorities pursue further legal action aginst the MP and his assigns over the alleged assault and battery.
Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are equipped with a camera that allows users to record video hands-free from their perspective.
They can also capture photographs without requiring the user to operate a phone or conventional camera.
The device additionally supports phone calls, allowing users to make and receive calls through the glasses without taking out their smartphones.
