The newly elected Executive Presbytery Officers of Assemblies of God, Ghana, have held a three-day prayer retreat at Cedar Mountain Chapel in East Legon, Accra.
The retreat, which began on Monday, September 14, and ended on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, was held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Among the officers who participated were the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam; Assistant General Superintendent-elect, Rev. Kwadwo Boateng Bempah; General Secretary-elect, Rev. Albert Anane; and General Treasurer, Rev. Simon Abu Baba.
Also present were the National Executives of the Ministers Wives Association, including National President Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, National Vice President-elect Lady Pastor Mrs. Patience Bempah, National Treasurer Rev. Mrs. Gladys Abu Baba and National Secretary-elect Rev. Mrs. Linda Anane.
During the retreat, the leadership devoted at least four hours each day to prayer and deliberated on the second phase of the Transformation Agenda, which outlines the vision of the Executive Presbytery.
Rev. Stephen Wengam also addressed participants on the topic, “The Role of Loyalty in Organisational Development.”
He urged leaders to prioritise loyalty to God, the Church and its leadership, stressing that loyalty was essential to building and sustaining a healthy organisation.
Participants described the retreat as refreshing and equipping, saying it provided an opportunity to prepare spiritually and organisationally for the leadership responsibilities ahead.
The prayer retreat precedes the handing-over ceremony scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Assemblies of God, Ghana Headquarters in Osu, Accra.
