Fidelity Bank Ghana has donated GH¢200,000 to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) to support vulnerable Ghanaians living with chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and requiring specialised medical care.
Presenting the donation, Deputy Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Kwabena Boateng, said the Bank considers good health a critical foundation for national development.
He pledged the Bank’s continued support for initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and helping vulnerable patients access the specialised care they need.
Receiving the donation, GMTF Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, expressed appreciation to Fidelity Bank for what she described as a timely intervention.
She assured the Bank that the contribution would go directly towards supporting patients, saving lives and creating a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable Ghanaians.
The donation forms part of efforts to mobilise support for patients who face financial difficulties in accessing specialised medical treatment.
The GMTF and Fidelity Bank said the initiative underscores the importance of partnerships between the private sector and healthcare institutions in improving access to critical medical care.
