Brigadier General Ebenezer Mark Alo takes over command of 15 armoured brigade of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has held a Change of Command ceremony at Abugar Square, Gondar Barracks, Burma Camp, where Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei officially handed over command to Brigadier General Ebenezer Mark Alo.
The ceremony, held on Monday, August 3, 2026, marked the formal transition of leadership within the Brigade and formed part of the Ghana Armed Forces’ tradition of ensuring smooth succession and continuity in command.
During the event, Brigadier General Tei expressed appreciation to officers, soldiers, and staff of the 15 Armoured Brigade for their support and dedication throughout his tenure.
He commended the commitment and professionalism of personnel under his command, noting their contribution to the operational readiness and effectiveness of the Brigade.
The incoming Commander, Brigadier General Ebenezer Mark Alo, is expected to build on the achievements of his predecessor while providing strategic leadership to the Brigade in line with the mandate of the Ghana Armed Forces.
The Change of Command ceremony brought together senior military officers, personnel, and invited guests who witnessed the symbolic transfer of authority through the presentation of command insignia.
The Ghana Armed Forces said such ceremonies remain an important part of military tradition, reinforcing accountability, continuity, and professionalism within the service.
