President John Dramani Mahama is expected to oversee the handing over of the right-of-way for the Accra-Kumasi Expressway project at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Roads and Highways in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces, is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026.
President Mahama will serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Ejisu-Kwaso.
The handing over of the right-of-way is expected to mark an important step towards the implementation of the Accra-Kumasi Expressway project, a major road infrastructure initiative aimed at improving connectivity between the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions.
The project is also expected to contribute to improved transportation, trade and economic activity along the Accra-Kumasi corridor.
