Ghana, St. Vincent and the Grenadines have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations following a meeting between their respective High Commissioners in London.
The Ghana High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson, received her Vincentian and Grenadines counterpart, H.E. Brereton Horne, at the Ghana High Commission in London on Monday, August 17, 2026.
The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and solidarity between Ghana and St. Vincent and the Grenadines and provided an opportunity for the two diplomats to explore new avenues for strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Discussions focused on key areas of mutual interest, including the blue economy, tourism, education and agriculture.
The two High Commissioners also discussed the revitalisation of existing bilateral agreements and efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration between the two countries.
Both diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular diplomatic engagement and promoting stronger people-to-people ties.
They also expressed readiness to pursue practical initiatives capable of delivering tangible benefits to citizens of both countries, while building on the enduring friendship and shared interests between Ghana and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The engagement forms part of efforts to deepen Ghana’s diplomatic and economic partnerships with Caribbean countries and strengthen cooperation in areas of shared development interest.
