Ghana Education Service has released funds to support the conduct of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) practicals across all Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) in the country.
This was announced in a statement on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
According to the Service, the release of the funds will cater for examination materials and other essential requirements needed for the smooth execution of the practical papers.
GES noted that the intervention is intended to ensure a well-coordinated examination process, allowing students to concentrate on their studies while easing the financial pressure on parents and guardians.
The Service further called on regional and district education authorities to strictly supervise the use of the funds to ensure accountability, efficiency, and proper application for their intended purpose.
