The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga North Muncipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Akwetey Agbo,has dismissed claims that a toilet facility being constructed under the Pokuase Interchange is a privately owned project, insisting that the initiative is a government-led intervention.
The MCE clarified that the facility forms part of efforts by the government and the municipal authorities to improve sanitation infrastructure and address the growing need for adequate public toilet facilities within the area.
He dismissed the claims while speaking in an interview of Accra-based Joy FM on Tuesday
According to the MCE, the project is intended to serve the public and contribute to improved sanitation management, rather than being operated as a private venture as alleged.
He urged residents to disregard misinformation surrounding the project and assured that the Assembly remains committed to implementing initiatives that enhance public services and improve living conditions across the Ga North Municipality.
