Firefighters are battling a raging fire involving an overturned tanker at Dawadawa along the Techiman–Tamale Road (N10) in the Kintampo North municipal district of the Bono East Region.
The incident occurred at about 6:17 a.m. on Thursday, causing the tanker to overturn and burst into flames, prompting an emergency response from personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Authorities are currently working to contain the fire and secure the area to prevent further danger to road users and nearby communities.
It is yet to be confirmed whether the tanker was transporting fuel or any other combustible material at the time of the incident.
The cause of the accident and the extent of damage, including whether there were any casualties, remain unknown.
