The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has completed a taining of trainers programme for Hub Managers and heads of Tertiary Innovation Hubs selected to implement the training component of the Student Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) Programme.
The training brought together representatives from 36 selected tertiary institutions across Ghana, equipping them with knowledge, practical tools and approaches to effectively deliver the SEED Programme in their respective institutions.
Participants were taken through the SEED curriculum and implementation approach, with emphasis on developing entrepreneurial mindsets, strengthening business development skills and creating an enabling environment for students to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses.
The Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Eric Adjei, joined the participants during the training and delivered remarks highlighting the role of tertiary institutions in developing a strong pipeline of young entrepreneurs and innovators.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Joan Selasie Ahiawordor, also engaged with participants during the programme and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to working closely with participating institutions to ensure the successful implementation of the SEED Programme.
With the trainers now equipped to deliver the programme, the next phase will take the SEED training directly to participating tertiary institutions.
NEIP said the initiative forms part of its efforts to train at least 5,000 students nationwide this year while strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation within Ghana’s tertiary education ecosystem.
The programme is expected to provide students with practical entrepreneurial skills and support them in developing innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures.
