The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held two national thanksgiving services in Goaso in the Ahafo Region and Sunyani in the Bono Region to express gratitude to God following the party’s national reorganisation.
Dr K. B. Tandoh, a former Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), joined the party’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and the newly elected national executive leadership for the services over the weekend.
According to Dr Tandoh, the gatherings were centred on thanksgiving and reflection, with participants drawing inspiration from Psalm 100:4, which calls on believers to enter God’s gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
Dr Tandoh who is also the spokesperson of the NPP’s Education Committee described the services as a solemn and joyful occasion to give glory to God for what he called the successful and seamless reorganisation of the party.
Dr Tandoh said the participation of thousands of party supporters from different regions demonstrated the strength of the NPP and its ability to unite members across the grassroots and national leadership levels.
He maintained that the party remained united, disciplined and energised following the reorganisation process.
The former GES Deputy Director-General also reaffirmed his commitment to working with the party’s national leadership and stakeholders across the country to strengthen its structures.
Dr Tandoh expressed confidence that, with divine guidance and collective effort, Dr Bawumia would lead the NPP to victory in the 2028 general elections.
He said the thanksgiving services reinforced his belief in the party’s unity and readiness as it prepares for the next electoral contest.
