President of Gabon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, has paid a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum in Accra as part of his official engagements in Ghana.
The Gabonese leader toured the mausoleum, where he paid homage to Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, whose legacy continues to inspire the continent’s pursuit of African unity and development.
The visit forms part of efforts to strengthen the longstanding diplomatic relations between Ghana and Gabon while highlighting the shared historical ties and pan-African ideals championed by Dr Nkrumah.
During the visit, President Nguema was taken through the history of Ghana’s independence struggle and Dr Nkrumah’s contributions to the liberation of Africa.
The Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum remains one of Ghana’s most significant historical monuments, attracting visiting heads of state, diplomats and tourists from across the world.
