Adamus Resources Limited has welcomed a decision by the Government of Ghana to provide a pathway for resolving issues surrounding the company and support efforts to restore the Adamus mine to sustainable operations.
The company described the outcome of a meeting held at the Presidency as a significant and constructive step towards protecting the future of the mine, its employees, contractors, suppliers, host communities and other stakeholders whose livelihoods are linked to the operation.
Under an agreed framework, Adamus Resources, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and the Minerals Commission will jointly develop a 12-month roadmap aimed at turning around the mine.
A six-member management team, comprising three representatives from Adamus Resources and three from the government, will supervise the implementation of the turnaround programme.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 21, 2026, the company said the collaborative arrangement would allow all parties to focus on preserving and rebuilding what it described as a strategically important Ghanaian mining operation while protecting value for the country and its stakeholders.
Adamus Resources acknowledged the uncertainty and anxiety that developments surrounding the mine in recent months may have caused employees, contractors, suppliers, businesses and host communities.
The company said the mine plays an important role in the livelihoods of families and communities in the Western Region, as well as contributing to Ghana’s mining industry and the national economy.
According to the company, the government’s latest decision provides renewed hope and creates a structured opportunity for stakeholders to work together towards restoring the operation.
“We therefore urge our employees, contractors, suppliers and communities to remain calm, hopeful and supportive as the agreed process unfolds,” the company said.
Adamus Resources said it would continue engaging constructively with the government and relevant institutions while providing updates as the turnaround process progresses.
The company further pledged to work within the agreed 12-month framework in good faith, with the objective of restoring the mine to a stronger and more sustainable footing.
