Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has received a petition from the Accra Turf Club on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama following a protest by members of the club over what they described as the forceful takeover of the Accra Racecourse lands.
The petition was presented after members of the Accra Turf Club staged a protest to draw attention to their concerns over the development and alleged takeover of the facility’s lands in the Borteyman area of the Greater Accra Region.
The club is seeking the intervention of President Mahama to address the situation and protect the interests of stakeholders who have used the Accra Racecourse for horse racing and related activities.
Nana Yaa Jantuah received the petition on behalf of the President and is expected to convey the concerns of the protesters to the appropriate authorities for consideration.
