The National Identification Authority (NIA) has commenced the registration of children aged 6 to 14 years in the Upper East and North East Regions.
The exercise began on Monday, October 5, 2026, and is scheduled to continue until October 26, 2026.
The registration is free of charge, and parents and guardians in the two regions have been encouraged to take advantage of the exercise to have eligible children registered.
The exercise forms part of efforts by the NIA to extend national identification registration to children within the specified age group.
Parents and guardians are expected to ensure that eligible children participate in the registration exercise before the October 26 deadline.
