The Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition and Member of Parliament for Gomoa West, Richard Gyan-Mensah, has donated 70,000 customised exercise books to schools across the Gomoa West district in the Central Region.
The exercise books were presented through the District Education Directorate for distribution to schools in the district.
The books feature prominent personalities from Gomoa West and highlight their contributions to national development, with the initiative intended to inspire pupils to aspire to excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.
The donation formed part of a series of activities undertaken in the district focused on education, healthcare and accountability.
As part of the activities, the Gomoa Ankamu Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, including nurses’ accommodation, was also opened.
A three-unit classroom block at Gomoa Enyeme was also unveiled during the visit.
The activities were attended by the Central Regional Minister, the District Chief Executive and traditional leaders from the area.
The day concluded at Gomoa Dawurampong with an “Accounting to the People Tour,” which provided an opportunity to engage residents and highlight ongoing development initiatives.
Mr Gyan-Mensah also acknowledged that a few photographs in the customised exercise books were inadvertently mismatched during production, saying the error had been noted and would be corrected in the next production.
