The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has summoned the management of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over the decision to sack Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz.
The meeting, scheduled for today at the instance of the Minister, is expected to brief him on the circumstances surrounding the dismissal of the coach following the Black Stars’ humiliating defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday by The Gambia.
Mr. Adams is expected to seek clarity from the GFA management on the factors that led to the decision to terminate the coach’s appointment.
The meeting is also expected to discuss the way forward for the Black Stars and the management of the team following the latest development.
The engagement comes as attention turns to the team’s preparations and technical direction ahead of its next assignments.
