The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) and the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) are exploring a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening healthcare regulation and service delivery in Ghana.
The proposed collaboration will focus on infrastructure, medical equipment, facility monitoring and technical support to ensure that investments in the health sector translate into improved patient outcomes.
Registrar of HeFRA, Dr Winfred Korletey Baah, described the Ghana Medical Trust Fund as a “game changer” and expressed support for efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery through strategic partnerships.
The Administrator of GMTF, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, also stressed the importance of collaboration in sustaining healthcare investments and ensuring that resources committed to the sector deliver lasting benefits.
She explained that the partnership is expected to bring together the regulatory expertise of HeFRA and the healthcare investment as well as the support initiatives of GMTF to contribute to a stronger, more efficient and better-regulated healthcare system.
The two institutions said the collaboration would help strengthen the link between healthcare investments, regulatory oversight and improved services for patients
