The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the programme and voter identification requirements for its national officers elections scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.
In a notice issued by the National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) on Wednesday, September 30, the party said constitutional amendments would commence at exactly 9:00 a.m., with the election of national officers expected to begin at 12:00 p.m.
The notice was signed by the Chairman of the National Officers Elections Committee, Frederick Opare-Ansah.
Voting will be conducted across 31 polling stations for nine elected national positions.
The positions are National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify the identity of every voter.
According to the NOEC, only delegates whose names appear on the official delegates’ register will be eligible to vote.
Each delegate will also be required to present one valid identification document for verification.
The accepted documents are a Voter Identification (Voter ID) card, Ghanacard or NPP party card.
The committee has therefore urged delegates to come to the conference with at least one of the accepted identification documents and allow sufficient time for verification before voting begins.
The NOEC further directed all constituency, regional and national officers to communicate the arrangements to delegates under their respective jurisdictions.
